When looking into the fashion industry, I was all-too often frustrated about not being able to  know where things were made, how, and by who. When birthing the project that is Enfants Déguisés, it was evident that I would always do the most to give every answer possible to my own customers. Enfants Déguisés was founded on the belief that clothing should be treasured rather than replaced. The aim is not to produce more, but to create garments that earn a lasting place in your wardrobe through their beauty, comfort, and craftsmanship.

Our approach to sustainability is therefore inseparable from the way we design. Every choice, from the fibres we source to the way each garment is constructed, is guided by the desire to create pieces that are made to be worn, cared for, and passed on.

Thoughtful Materials

The choice of fabric is where every garment begins.

Whenever we source new fabrics, we prioritise natural fibres for their comfort, breathability, and ability to age beautifully over time. Blends are used very sparsely and chosen intentionally to make use of exceptional deadstock fabrics that deserve a second life rather than becoming waste.

Whenever possible, we favour materials carrying recognised certifications, such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX®, or certified organic standards. Certification requirements do not always allow us to mention these credentials on individual product pages. Regardless, they remain an important consideration throughout our sourcing process, and we keep them at the forefront whenever choosing which new fabrics to bring into the world.

Designed to Last

Longevity is considered at every stage of development.

Each garment is carefully fitted to remain comfortable while keeping its intended shape over years of wear. Construction is chosen with durability in mind, with beautifully finished interiors that are made to endure beyond seasonal trends. Elastic is used only where it serves a clear purpose, and never as a shortcut in design.

Our hope is that every piece can become something to return to, season after season, and perhaps one day to pass on.

Made Intentionally

Every Enfants Déguisés garment is made to order.

Rather than producing collections in large quantities and hoping they will find a home, we begin making your garment only once your order has been placed. This approach allows us to produce only what is needed, reducing unnecessary waste and avoiding unsold inventory.

Because each piece is made specifically for you, our production times are longer than those of traditional ready-to-wear brands. Depending on the garment and the volume of orders, your piece may take up to six weeks to be carefully crafted before it is shipped.

We understand that waiting is unusual in today's world of next-day delivery. We believe, however, that clothing designed to accompany you for years deserves a little time. The pace of our production reflects the care invested in every garment and our commitment to creating thoughtfully rather than producing endlessly.

Packaging

Packaging is part of the experience of receiving a garment, and deserves the same level of care as the piece inside.

Every order is wrapped using plastic-free, fully recyclable materials.Though beautiful, we keep each parcel intentionally simple, adding only a few details unique to each capsule while avoiding unnecessary waste.

Growing Responsibly

Creating garments that fit beautifully on all kinds of bodies requires extensive pattern development, fitting, and testing. As a young brand, we have chosen not to offer an overly broad size range before we can achieve the level of fit and quality we expect from every piece.

Expanding our size offering is an important objective as Enfants Déguisés grows, and we would rather take the time to do it properly than compromise on fit, comfort, or the longevity of the garments.
